THE POWER OF PRAYER

God has given us the power to change situations around us and for us to be able to have an intimate relationship with Him through prayer.

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matthew 21:22, KJV).

We serve a big God. What may seem impossible for man is always possible with God. REMEMBER: whatever storm comes your way, there is always hope with Jesus Christ. There's no mountain too high. No river is too deep for our Lord and Savior to reach us.

Hold onto God’s Promise: He will never leave or forsake us. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV).

Our loving Heavenly Father knows all that we need, even before we ask. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, NIV).

Surrendering your life to Jesus Christ is a very important first step. You can pray this Salvation Prayer with words straight out of Acts and Romans:

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  I am calling on You now. I want Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life. I believe Your Word is true. I know that whoever calls on Your name will be saved. So, I'm confessing with my mouth that Christ is Lord; I and believe in my heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead and has justified me through faith. I am saved!  Amen.

After praying the Salvation prayer. Here’s another way you can keep in touch with the Heavenly Father. Here’s how Jesus taught His original Disciples to pray. You, as His Disciple, can use the Lord's Prayer as a guide to pray (Matthew 6:9-13, NKJV):

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
